Abstract
The nonlinear algorithm of M-QAM signal impairments estimation for the MIMO systems is designed in the paper. The method is based on the Taylor’s approximation and variation problem decision. The modified least squares method in the form of A.N. Tikhonov’s functional was used in this purpose. The algorithm can work both with the help of training sequence and information symbols after the detection procedure. The comparison of the designed algorithm and the procedure of the polynomial approximation of the channel matrix have been done. Benefits of the variation algorithm under the conditions of significant carrier frequency offset (CFO) are confirmed with the help of computational experiment.

Keywords: MIMO systems with the spatial multiplexing, quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), I/Q-imbalance, DC-offset, carrier frequency offset, nonlinear algorithm of the signal impairments estimation.
