Abstract
In this paper system-engineering stage of design of the receiving RF module for radar is considered. The results of modeling and calculations are compared using two different programs — the software package for structural synthesis, analysis and parametric optimization (RF Systems Designer) and VSS package of the AWR DE software. A distinctive feature of the RF Systems Designer software is the ability to automatically synthesize and parametrically optimization the structural schemes of a receiver/transmitter RF module. Two different methods of RF modules design are considered. The first one is an engineering empirical method with applying modern CAD software. The second design method is basing on the application of the described software. The aim of this paper is the confirmation of the correctness of structural synthesis algorithms, parametric optimization and decision making, mathematical models, results and formulas implemented in above mentioned software by comparing of the results which are obtained in various ways. Accuracy of the calculations results which are obtained by using RF Systems Designer is confirmed by comparing with the calculations results of using AWR DE software. It is shown that when using the RF Systems Designer, due to methodology and the synthesis and analysis algorithms which are implemented in this software the time saving of decision making on the choice of elemental, circuit and structural design is three orders.
